Within 90 days of arriving in Korea, you should report to the immigration office and apply for your alien registration card.

Don’t wait until the last minute getting it because it takes some time to be processed.

You are obligated to have your alien registration card with you at all times in Korea.

Here is a sample of what the card looks like.

You will have to wait until you receive your public health form and have it sent to the immigration office.

It is one of the documents needed to get your alien registration card.

When you go to the immigration office, bring your passport,  and 3 identical photos (3m x4cm) with you.

You will have to fill out an application form.

Some forms must be filled out by your director so check with your director to see if they have completed their forms.

You should be prepared to show your original diploma and transcripts just in case so bring them with you just incase.

The cost is 10,000 won ($10.00US).

It will take a week for your immigration card to be issued.

Your passport stamped with a stamp saying, “Registered Alien”.

You should get your director to call the immigration office before going to double check on all the documents you will need to bring with you.
