The E2 visa process takes 3 weeks after you have gathered the following E2 visa documents.
1. Photocopy of your Bachelor degree with apostille stamp (Do not send a photocopy of either documents. Send the originals).
Your degree must have been completed in an English speaking country.
Make a photocopy of your original diploma.
Then you will need to get an apostille stamp on it.
An apostille allows a document to be used internationally.
You will need to get an apostille from your STATE. (For the FBI check, you will need a federal apostille. It is not the same place.)
To find your nearest state apostille location, click here.
To see a sample of the notarized photocopy of original diploma, click here.
To see a sample of the state apostille, click here.
The state apostille takes about 3 weeks to get.
2. Original FBI criminal record check with apostille (Do not send photocopies of either documents. Send originals).
To order your FBI check directly from the FBI, click here.
Once you get your FBI check, the FBI criminal record requires a FEDERAL apostille from Washington.
Here is the location:
U.S. Department of State
Authentications Office
518 23rd Street NW.
SA-1
Washington, DC 20520
http://www.state.gov/m/a/auth/
